One of the most impressive contributors to the Sktchy app community has to be, in my opinion, Adam Nelson. He has added several photographs to his profile showing himself and his family (wife and two children) disguised in a sort of eclectic homage to different musicians, colourful characters and popular superheroes. I though it could be a good idea to mix several of them in a single group portrait, but I couldn't find a thread to portray them in a single scene. One of the photographs of Adam showed him dressed like Lou Reed in the early seventies; then I remembered the cover of Lou's New York album in which he appears impersonating four different characters. That cover inspired me to use the same background and draw different pictures from Adam's portfolio. As you can see in the video, on this occasion I transferred the outlines drawing on top of the collage I made with the photos. Cheeky, perhaps...anyway, it took me a long time to make a coherent whole of the several parts. The end result didn't make much of an impact in the Sktchy community, but Adam loved it so I feel it was worth the effort.

En mi opinión, Adam Nelson es uno de los participantes más impresionantes en la aplicación Sktchy. Él ha añadido a su perfil varias fotografías que le muestran a él y a su familia (mujer y dos niños) disfrazados en una especie de homenaje ecléctico a diferentes músicos, personajes coloristas y superhéroes populares. Pensé que sería una buena idea mezclar varios de estos personajes en un único retrato de grupo, pero no podía encontrar un hilo conductor para mostrarlos en un único escenario. Una de las fotografías de Adam le mostraba vestido como Lou Reed en los años setenta; entonces recordé la portada del álbum New York de Lou Reed en la que aparece dando vida a cuatro personajes distintos. Esa portada me inspiró a usar el mismo escenario y a dibujar diferentes fotografías del portfolio de Adam. Tal como puedes ver en el vídeo, en esta ocasión calqué las siluetas dibujando encima del collage que hice con las fotos. Quizás sea hacer trampas...de cualquier forma, me llevó mucho tiempo lograr un conjunto coherente en base a las diversas partes. El resultado final no causó apenas impacto en al comunidad de usuarios de Sktchy, pero a Adam le encantó así que creo que el esfuerzo valió la pena.
